THE BIG RED BUS is working within the local community and almost every year we have hosted Christmas Breakfast at Town Beach, Port Macquarie. It’s a special time where people who don't have family to be with can become part of our family and meet like-minded individuals. We also host events from the bus, and it frequents Town Beach for other catch-ups throughout the year.
THE BIG RED BUS loves to serve free refreshments from our mobile café, at Port Macquarie Adventist Church on Saturday mornings. We park the bus right outside the church and is very popular with our church members and visitors who love to catch up and have a chat with each other.
ABOUT THE BUS
THE BIG RED BUS is a 1961 Leyland Atlantean double-decker built in England, and operates from Port Macquarie in the Mid North Coast of Australia. Fully refurbished as a mobile café and hangout space, it exists for the primary purpose of providing service to the community in the local Port Macquarie / Hastings area - in projects that fulfil this criterion, and whose requirements suit the function and capabilities of its setup and design.
THE BIG RED BUS is privately owned and operated, and in serving the community is indebted to the time and resources offered by volunteers, businesses and partnering groups.
